What you will do

• Analyze high-throughput DNA sequencing data to support product development and validation studies.
• Identify and implement improvements to bioinformatics production pipelines and workflows.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues related to data quality and system integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including biology, software engineering, and lab operations.
• Produce high-quality technical reports and formal study plans.
• Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and PHI data privacy protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Knowledge of genomics and NGS analyses (mapping, variant calling) and NGS file types.
• Experience with pipeline platforms and languages such as WDL or Nextflow.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant scientific or technical discipline.
• Professional experience in the biotechnology, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and plotting.
• Experience with Linux command-line tools, SQL, and data visualization tools like Plotly.
• Familiarity with LLMs (e.g., Claude Code) to streamline workflows.
