TL;DR

Location: Work schedule is Monday - Friday 8AM - 4PM EST

What you will do

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment scheduling.
• Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and file Sales Tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Lead and execute Month-End and Year-End Close processes, including journal entries and audit preparation.
• Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial data to provide insights for decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, specifically GAAP.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience with senior-level exposure.
• Strong experience in Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Sales Tax preparation.
• Proven track record in managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Xero.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
