What you will do

• Manage production services by monitoring availability, capacity, and overall system health.
• Consult on system design, capacity planning, and launch reviews for new software.
• Define and maintain Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Engineer solutions to reduce operational toil through advanced automation and self-healing capabilities.
• Practice sustainable incident management within a blameless postmortem culture.
• Identify and build improvements to system behavior, control, and monitoring tools.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience in software or systems engineering.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: Java, Python, or Perl.
• Experience developing applications in a Linux environment.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design.
• Experience with automated testing and SDLC concepts.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry).
• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of Hadoop and big data technologies.
• Understanding of financial industry compliance or risk functions.
