What you will do
- Lead hands-on independent validation of credit decisioning models, including ML, decision science, and NPV models.
- Oversee broader credit risk models such as IFRS9, stress testing, and economic response models.
- Perform statistical analyses and develop challenger models to test assumptions and strengthen validation conclusions.
- Improve the Model Risk Framework by overseeing policies, standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Write impactful validation reports and present findings to relevant committees.
- Lead the adoption of AI tools to enhance the model validation approach.
Requirements
- Must be based in the UK.
- Practical experience in credit model development or validation, specifically with scorecards, PD models, and NPV modelling.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for hands-on data analysis.
- Deep understanding of statistical techniques for credit and model risk.
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical issues to non-experts.
- Ability to build trusting relationships and provide respectful challenge to stakeholders.

- Exposure to various machine learning modelling techniques.
- Experience with data visualisation tools like Tableau or Looker.
