What you will do

• Develop production-ready AI internal tools, agents, and integrations by embedding with various business teams to solve real operational problems.
• Implement advanced LLM capabilities including structured outputs, tool calling, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Translate ambiguous business problems into clear, testable AI-assisted delivery plans.
• Design and implement evaluation frameworks, including test sets, human review loops, and failure mode analysis for AI systems.
• Build backend services, APIs, and internal applications using modern software engineering practices.
• Create reusable playbooks, templates, and engineering patterns to help other teams adopt AI effectively.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in a product, platform, or startup environment.
• Proficiency in Python and modern API development.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, AI agents, RAG, and agentic engineering.
• Must be located within commuting distance of Amsterdam.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of AWS-native architectures, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
• Frontend experience with Angular, React, or TypeScript.
• Background in healthcare, pharma, or regulated environments with privacy-sensitive data.
• Experience with AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or n8n.
