What you will do

• Build and evolve the semantic layer using dbt and Snowflake semantic views, including metrics and dimensions.
• Define KPIs, business logic, and canonical data definitions in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Expose curated data for BI tools (Amazon QuickSight, Apache Superset), APIs, and AI consumption layers like Snowflake Cortex AI.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to ensure agentic experiences are grounded in structured business data.
• Maintain near-real-time data pipelines from PostgreSQL into Snowflake via Snowflake Openflow.
• Apply spec-driven development and AI-assisted engineering workflows (Claude Code, Cursor) with end-to-end production ownership.

Requirements

• Very strong SQL skills and deep knowledge of data modeling and databases.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake (including semantic views) and dbt at scale.
• Proficiency in Python and experience building REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with AWS stack and BI platforms (e.g., QuickSight, Superset, Tableau, Looker).
• Fluent English skills are required for an English-speaking environment.
• Must be based in Germany for remote work options.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI agent engineering (Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, LangChain, LangGraph).
• Background in data science, statistics, or machine learning.
• Experience with Snowflake Cortex AI.
• Knowledge of Java and/or frontend development with React.
