What you will do

• Develop internal tools and applications used by engineering teams to improve simulation and operation of complex systems.
• Design and build user-facing interfaces that simplify complex engineering workflows.
• Create services and APIs to enable tool automation and system integration.
• Model and manage structured data used by simulation and testing systems.
• Build prototypes and iterate on software solutions based on user feedback.
• Contribute to the full software lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and documentation.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related undergraduate program.
• Demonstrated software development experience through coursework, personal projects, internships, or research.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or C++.
• Application of object-oriented design (OOD) principles and version control systems like Git.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills applied to engineering tasks.
• Effective written and verbal communication in a technical environment.

Nice to have

• Exposure to web application development and frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience working with APIs and structured data formats such as JSON.
• Familiarity with Linux-based development environments.
• Experience building software beyond course assignments (hackathons, open-source, etc.).
• Knowledge of data visualization, diagramming, or interactive interfaces.
