GL Accountant (Fintech)

Salary: 51,000 – 55,000 CZK per month

What you will do

• Execute accurate and timely month-end closing activities for assigned entities.
• Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage month-end accounting journals, intercompany transactions, and corporate cost recharges.
• Support internal and external audit processes by responding to queries.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize accounting systems and processes.
• Ensure strict compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a large, complex organization.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of GL, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
• Advanced English and Czech (written and spoken) required.
• Must be based in and work from the Prague office.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of EU VAT.
• Experience with process standardization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
