Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to Delft, Netherlands

Salary: €3,059 – €3,881 gross per month

What you will do

  • Develop integration strategies and modeling approaches for reusing EV batteries in high-power DC charging networks.
  • Address power electronics and Energy Management System (EMS) challenges.
  • Design and develop experimental setups within the ESP Laboratory.
  • Conduct research on the long-term reliability and techno-economic feasibility of second-life battery systems.
  • Produce scientific articles and a final doctoral thesis.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from a well-established university.
  • Experience in modeling batteries, DC grid power flows, or EV charging demand.
  • Solid background in power electronics and experimental setup development.
  • English proficiency at a professional level (C1).
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Dutch.
