What you will do

• Take full ownership of the dbt modelling layer, from design and testing to performance optimization across staging and mart tiers.
• Architect and manage Dagster asset pipelines to handle both batch and streaming workloads.
• Define and enforce high standards for SQL transformations and data modelling across domain teams.
• Integrate new data sources into the platform through batch and streaming ingestion pipelines.
• Implement data tests, CI/CD validations, and peer reviews to ensure high code quality.
• Contribute to data product development within a Data Mesh architecture.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a track record of owning production pipelines end-to-end.
• Strong expertise in SQL, dbt, and data modelling principles (dimensional modelling, star schema, SCDs).
• High-level proficiency in Python for scripting, testing, and orchestration logic.
• Experience with big data tools such as Trino, Spark, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with Apache Iceberg or other Lakehouse formats (Delta, Hudi).
• Fluent English proficiency and EU work authorization (preferred).

Nice to have

• Exposure to Data Mesh or Data Contracts concepts.
• Experience with AWS services including S3 and EKS (Kubernetes, Helm).
• Familiarity with data quality tools like Great Expectations or Soda.
• Understanding of GitOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure as code.
