What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications for mortgage and lending platforms.
• Modernize mortgage application workflows and customer experiences as part of a redesign initiative.
• Develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, business analysts, and stakeholders in Agile delivery.
• Support CI/CD, troubleshoot defects/performance issues, and ensure compliance with enterprise security and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Work authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent via work/education/training/military experience).
• Experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
• Experience in large banking/financial services or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience with mortgage origination, mortgage servicing, loan processing, or related lending platforms.
• Experience building RESTful APIs/backend services and working with relational databases and SQL.

Nice to have

• Experience with mortgage application redesign, digital transformation, or customer experience modernization.
• Spring Boot and microservices architecture experience.
• React or Angular experience.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with AI technologies or AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini).
