Senior Business Engineer

Location: Remote - British Columbia, Canada

What you will do

• Advise strategic advertising partners and direct advertisers on integrating and adopting Reddit’s advertising APIs and tools.
• Design and prototype proof-of-concept solutions in Reddit systems or partner codebases.
• Collaborate with partner engineering teams to improve performance, resolve integration gaps, and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Lead onboarding, testing, and pre-launch support for advertising integrations.
• Represent partner technical needs internally and influence product and platform priorities.
• Support escalations and establish sustainable solutions for high-impact integration blockers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience and ownership of end-to-end technical projects.
• Hands-on coding experience with one or more modern programming languages, including Python, Java, JavaScript, or Node.
• Experience with backend or API development and direct contributions to external integrations.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and modern SDK patterns.
• Strong communication skills for presenting technical and business concepts to internal and external stakeholders.

• Deep understanding of the AdTech ecosystem and relevant industry standards.
• Experience improving developer experience through tooling, documentation, or ecosystem standards.
• Experience influencing product roadmaps and supporting releases, launches, and product adoption.
• Advertising industry or advertising partnerships experience.
