Lead/Principal Modernisation Strategist (Architecture): Designing and leading large-scale platform and portfolio modernisation strategies for client organisations with an accent on translating technical strategy into measurable business value. Focus on designing distributed architectures, navigating complex legacy landscapes for C-suite executives, and ensuring engineering excellence.

Location: Onsite in Singapore (expected to work from the office 5 days a week)

What you will do

• Define optimal target architectures for large-scale software modernisation, managing complex trade-offs to align with business objectives.
• Partner with business and technology leaders to identify modernisation opportunities and shape transformation approaches.
• Drive pre-sales, lead generation, and the creation of proposals to educate clients on service value.
• Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, helping them navigate legacy landscapes and redefine industry possibilities.
• Contribute thought leadership through reusable patterns, accelerators, and scalable modernisation practices.
• Mentor and develop consultants and technologists to grow the next generation of modernisation leaders.

Requirements

• Strong architectural foundation in legacy systems, distributed architectures, and modern engineering practices.
• Experience driving large-scale application modernisation or migration in sectors such as banking, insurance, telco, or government.
• Proven ability to design modern distributed architectures (containers, service mesh, event streaming).
• Deep understanding of microservices, event-driven systems, API-first design, and cloud-native patterns.
• Experience guiding teams through Agile, Lean, Continuous Delivery, DevOps, or SRE-aligned models.
• Must be based in and able to work onsite in Singapore.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, and Istio.
