What you will do

• Create accurate 3D models and shop drawings for heavy industrial steel and mining platework using Autodesk Advance Steel.
• Detail complex components like chutes, bins, hoppers, and conveyors with precise fabrication tolerances.
• Generate and verify Bills of Materials (BOMs), NC files, and DXF files for CNC fabrication.
• Review engineering drawings to resolve design clashes and missing information independently.
• Collaborate with the fabrication shop floor to troubleshoot and optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Lead the shop detailing function by establishing best practices and mentoring team members.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in shop detailing for heavy industrial structures and mining platework.
• Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Advance Steel and AutoCAD.
• Proven ability to apply Australian Standards (AS4100, AS1554) to all designs.
• Mechanical or Structural engineering qualification (Diploma, Degree, or Trade equivalent).
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment without rigid playbooks.
• Must be available to work during Perth (AWST) core business hours.
