What you will do

• Build and enhance .NET Core (LTS) backend services in a production environment.
• Design and implement data‑heavy workflows using C#, Dapper, and SQL.
• Develop APIs and backend components that prioritize performance, data integrity, and security.
• Work with queueing and messaging technologies for asynchronous processing.
• Write unit tests using xUnit or NUnit to ensure overall code quality.
• Collaborate with the New Zealand team and stakeholders in an agile (Scrum/Kanban) setup.

Requirements

• Mid‑level backend engineering experience.
• Solid experience in the .NET ecosystem (Core LTS) and strong hands‑on coding skills with C# and Dapper.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Experience writing and maintaining unit tests (xUnit/NUnit).
• Exposure to queueing or messaging systems.
• Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban development environments.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Azure (App Services, Application Insights, containers) and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with YAML CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, or Terraform.
• Familiarity with Clean Architecture or N‑Tier architectures.
• Some front‑end exposure (JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, or React).
• Understanding of contract‑first APIs (OpenAPI).
• Prior experience in financial services or investment platforms.
