Location: Bordeaux, France. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are provided.

Company

Developing modular and reusable space orbital vehicles and advanced propulsion systems to democratize space.

What you will do

  • Develop open-loop and closed-loop control algorithms for pressure regulation, mass flow, and temperature control.
  • Translate physical requirements into real-time control logic for Beckhoff PLC and high-speed DAQ systems.
  • Perform stability analysis (gain/phase margin) and simulate control strategies under nominal and off-nominal conditions.
  • Execute verifications using hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) to validate functionality.
  • Implement safety interlocks and fail-safe transitions based on FMEA and hazard analyses.
  • Conduct technical trade-offs for hardware, software, and equipment selection for test facilities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Control Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience with control engineering in industrial applications.
  • Strong understanding of feedback control theory, nonlinear system behavior, and real-time control.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC systems (Beckhoff and TwinCAT preferred).
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Modelica, or similar modeling tools.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Bordeaux, France.
