The Exploration Company develops, produces, and operates Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle for cargo and human transport.

What you will do

• Conduct mechanical tests including tensile, compression, hardness, bending, and fatigue testing on metallic and polymer parts.
• Prepare test samples via cutting, mounting, polishing, and etching for metallographic analysis and microscopy.
• Perform dimensional inspections using a Mitutoyo CMM or conventional tools and handle part referencing and reporting.
• Operate all laboratory equipment safely and collaborate with the Lab Engineer to improve test procedures.
• Accurately record test conditions, results, and anomalies in internal databases and reports.
• Support preventive maintenance, calibrations, and daily upkeep of the lab environment.

Requirements

• Education: BTS, DUT, or Licence Pro in Mechanical Testing, Materials, or Industrial Measurements.
• Experience: At least 2 years in a mechanical or materials testing lab.
• Technical skills: Hands-on experience with CMMs (Mitutoyo or similar) and GD&T interpretation.
• Language: Working proficiency in either French or English.
• Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Bordeaux, France (visa sponsorship available).

• Familiarity with metallographic sample preparation and microscopy.
