Staff Software Engineer, Trading Systems (Web3)

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team in Singapore.
• Own the technical roadmap for the post-trade data stream, focusing on scalability and maintainability.
• Design and optimize systems for processing and serving near real-time and historical post-trade data.
• Implement and integrate modern OLAP technologies such as StarRocks to enhance analytical capabilities.
• Collaborate on the development of new platform features within a tight-knit developer team.
• Conduct code reviews for correctness and security while managing incident resolution and data bottlenecks.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of software engineering experience with a history of technical leadership or architecture.
• Advanced proficiency in at least one backend language (Scala and C++ are primary).
• Hands-on expertise in big data ecosystems, specifically Apache Flink and Apache Spark.
• Ability to manage complex dependencies and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Must be based in Singapore to comply with the hybrid work policy.

Nice to have

• Experience in the finance industry, payments, or electronic trading systems.
• Experience as a power user or developer in Bitcoin, Ethereum, or blockchain technology.
• Knowledge of next-generation OLAP databases like ClickHouse or Apache Pinot.
