TL;DR

HiL Software Developer (Aerospace): Designing, implementing, and integrating software models for Hardware-in-the-Loop testing of the Nyx orbital vehicle with an accent on high-fidelity simulation and National Instruments infrastructure. Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Munich, Germany (Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship provided).

What you will do

• Design, implement, and test C++-based software models for HiL testing of avionics systems.
• Develop and maintain software tooling to support simulation and test activities.
• Integrate software models into National Instruments hardware infrastructures.
• Collaborate with GNC, Flight Software, and Mission Operations teams to ensure model fidelity.
• Participate in verification and validation test campaigns and troubleshoot simulation environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for test setups and development processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python and C/C++.
• Experience in software development for simulation, testing, or embedded systems.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• English: C1 proficiency required for effective communication.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines in a high-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with LabVIEW and National Instruments hardware/software ecosystems.
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing environments.
• Experience with Bazel and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of aerospace or avionics systems development.
