What you will do

• Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded flight software and hardware interface layers for the Blue Ring spacecraft.
• Implement software requirements based on system-level specifications with full traceability.
• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test procedures.
• Collaborate with avionics, systems, and propulsion engineers to define interfaces and resolve technical issues.
• Participate in software design, code, and technical peer reviews to maintain quality standards.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex hardware/software integration issues in lab environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.
• Proficiency in C++ programming for resource-constrained embedded environments.
• Experience with Python for tooling, test automation, or scripting.
• Legal authorization to work in the US (Citizen, National, Green Card, Refugee, or Asylee).

Nice to have

• Experience with flight software for spacecraft, launch vehicles, or safety-critical aerospace systems.
• Familiarity with safety standards such as DO-178, NPR 7150.2, or SMC-S-012.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Git or Jenkins.
