Senior Mulesoft Engineer (Java/Kafka): Designing and maintaining high-performance integration solutions and APIs using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform with an accent on event-driven architectures and scalable RESTful APIs. Location: Hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal (average 4 days a week in office)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance integration solutions and APIs using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Build and manage event-driven architectures and data streams utilizing Apache Kafka.
• Develop custom components and complex logic within integration workflows using core Java.
• Define and implement secure, scalable RESTful APIs and modern integration patterns.
• Deploy and monitor integrations within a CI/CD-driven environment following DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with a team of engineering consultants to deliver complex enterprise-level projects.

Requirements

• Strong experience in API, Events, Streams, and Integration development using MuleSoft.
• Hands-on experience deploying solutions on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Proven experience with event-driven architectures, specifically Apache Kafka.
• Solid foundation in Java development for writing clean, complex systems code.
• Track record of designing and implementing complex RESTful APIs.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal.

Nice to have

• Experience with eCommerce back-end systems and Point of Sale (PoS) systems.
• Knowledge of the Spring Framework and Maven.
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Practice in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience working in Agile software delivery teams (Scrum/Kanban).
