What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and handle complex database queries.
• Write unit tests and automate quality assurance processes using JUnit and Mockito.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate message queue solutions like RabbitMQ.
• Participate in architectural discussions, applying SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Work in a hybrid setting, attending the Porto office twice a week.

Requirements

• At least 1.5 years of professional experience with Java.
• English proficiency: B2 level minimum (mandatory).
• Valid right to work in Portugal (EU citizenship or valid work permit).
• Strong experience with Spring framework, JPA, and relational databases.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins and version control with Git.
• Understanding of Linux/Unix environments and SOAP/RESTful web services.

Nice to have

• Experience with JSF (JavaServer Faces).
• Knowledge of JMS and IBM MQ.
