What you will do

• Lead and manage the technical stack and pipeline operations for one or more complex productions.
• Bridge communication between show production teams and the global Technology/R&D departments.
• Supervise and mentor Pipeline TDs and ATDs, providing architectural guidance and code reviews.
• Design and implement technical solutions to address show-specific production challenges.
• Break down development projects into actionable tasks and manage team deliverables.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and integrity of tools used across distributed global studios.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or equivalent professional experience in VFX or games.
• Excellent proficiency in Python and Linux environments.
• Proven experience developing tools for DCC packages such as Maya, Houdini, or Nuke.
• Strong background in source control systems and team-based development workflows.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring junior team members and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

Nice to have

• 3-5 years of experience in the VFX industry.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and task tracking tools like Jira.
• Experience with renderers such as PRMan, Clarisse, or Mantra.
• Knowledge of Realtime Technologies.
• Experience writing technical documentation or tutorials.
