Quality Lab Technician I

TL;DR

Quality Lab Technician I (Quality Control): Perform quality control testing on raw materials, WIP, finished goods, engineering trial products, and customer returns with an accent on accurate data entry into SAP and quality records, non-conformance identification, and laboratory equipment/equipment inventory management. Focus on ensuring safety, compliance, and timely reporting to support corrective actions in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

What you will do

• Run quality testing for WIP, finished goods, and engineering trial products according to Quality Control Inspection Plans.
• Verify test results and enter/maintain accurate data in SAP and other quality management systems.
• Identify non-conforming and engineering trial materials and document results in applicable quality records and customer portals.
• Inspect and test customer-returned products and communicate findings to Quality and Engineering to support corrective actions.
• Maintain laboratory equipment (calibration, verification, cleaning, preventive maintenance) and manage lab inventory and retained samples.
• Follow EHS policies and support continuous improvement and problem-solving activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree/technical diploma in Chemistry/Chemical Technology or related field preferred.
• Previous laboratory experience required; experience in chemical manufacturing environment and controlled laboratory work preferred.
• Familiarity with quality systems, testing procedures, and documentation practices; SAP or similar ERP experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy; ability to read and follow work instructions and testing procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally, if required.
