QA Engineer (Playwright)

TL;DR

QA Engineer (Playwright): Ensuring the quality and reliability of an eCommerce application through automated testing with an accent on BDD, UI, API, and database validation. Focus on building and maintaining automated test suites using TypeScript, Playwright, and Cucumber within a fast-paced Agile environment.

Location: Must be based in Poland, hybrid role (office attendance required 4 days/week).

Salary: 100–130 PLN/hour (B2B).

What you will do

• Develop and maintain automated tests using TypeScript, Playwright, and Cucumber.
• Perform UI, API, and database testing to ensure application quality.
• Implement BDD approaches to improve test coverage and reliability.
• Collaborate with developers in daily stand-ups and the software development lifecycle.
• Utilize feedback from stakeholders to expand and refine test scenarios.
• Work within an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software.

Requirements

• Must be based in Poland and available for hybrid work.
• Solid experience in test automation using TypeScript, Playwright, and Cucumber.
• Hands-on experience with BDD using Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Experience in backend testing, including SQL querying and database familiarity.
• Proficiency in testing RESTful services and web APIs.
• English proficiency required for the selection process and collaboration with the UK team.

Nice to have

• Experience in the retail sector or with eCommerce platforms like Magento or Hybris.
• Familiarity with Cypress, Jira, or CI/CD tools like Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
• Experience with accessibility and visual testing.
