Oracle Security Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote in Mexico; Mexico City preferred, with other locations in Mexico considered

What you will do

• Research security vulnerabilities, underlying weaknesses, emerging threats, and applicable mitigations affecting supported products and services.
• Support Product Support Engineers with customer cases involving security vulnerabilities.
• Design, implement, and evaluate security tools, services, controls, rules, signatures, and hardening configurations.
• Conduct security assessments and audits for customer and prospect ERP and database environments.
• Analyze business and technical requirements, communicate security risks, and recommend practical solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Prepare vulnerability analysis reports, executive-level reporting, remediation guidance, and zero-day response recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Security certification required or actively in progress.
• 5–8+ years of progressive information security experience, including enterprise security controls, risk management, threat mitigation, and ERP audits.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database and Apache and/or WebLogic; knowledge of system vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.
• Familiarity with ISO, NIST, SOX, PCI, and Privacy Shield standards.
• Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking skills required. Ability to work independently, collaborate with clients, and provide short-period off-hours support during zero-day events.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache, patching, WebSphere, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, DB2, EBS, OBIEE, BI Publisher, JD Edwards, Siebel, or Hyperion.
• Experience with open-source security solutions such as Burp Suite, Kali Linux, Metasploit, Horizon3.ai, Feedly, firewalls, WAFs, or AI tools such as Copilot.
• Experience hardening Java JRE and JVM environments.
