What you will do

• Architect next-generation slider-attach and adhesive dispense processes to meet future HGA performance requirements.
• Lead early-stage process invention and machine design through rapid experimentation and bench prototyping.
• Develop deep physics-based understanding of adhesive behavior, bondline control, and thermo-mechanical interactions.
• Identify and quantify critical KPIVs and their relationships to KPOVs to guide design and downstream optimization.
• Co-develop novel dispense, placement, and curing tool concepts, including automation and vision alignment.
• Collaborate with global design and materials teams to influence product architecture and adhesive selection.

Requirements

• 12+ years of hands-on expertise in the design and development of micro-precision assembly equipment.
• Background in Hard Disk Drive (HDD) manufacturing or precision assembly processes.
• Experience with multi-axis motion systems and integrated sensor technologies.
• Understanding of data analysis and structured problem-solving methods such as DOE and Six Sigma.
• English: B2 proficiency required for effective communication with global cross-functional teams.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work at the Teparuk facility in Thailand.

• Experience in adhesives, dispense processes, or cleaning technologies.
