What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial AI SaaS contracts and technology agreements.
• Provide legal training and develop resources for sales and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Privacy, and Security teams on legal execution.
• Support the expansion of the commercial legal function within a fast-moving startup.
• Engage in product counseling and IP law matters as the company scales.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in Australia with a current practising certificate.
• 3-5 years of post-admission experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team.
• Strong transactional background in SaaS, technology, and IP-rich commercial agreements.
• Must have valid Australian work rights (no visa sponsorship available).
• Ability to function independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-related legal matters.
• Familiarity with Australian privacy and data protection law.
• Knowledge of financial services regulatory concepts and APRA-regulated institutions.
• Experience supporting Go-To-Market and Sales teams.
