Salary: $118,000 – $128,000 CAD annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize .NET backend services and REST APIs using ASP.NET Core.
• Own and evolve the backend architecture, including MS SQL Server schema, queries, and performance.
• Set the API strategy for design, versioning, security, and cross-team contracts.
• Establish team practices for agentic-IDE development (e.g., Cursor) and review standards for AI-generated code.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality features.
• Lead and coach junior and intermediate developers through pairing and feedback.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada.
• 7+ years of experience with .NET or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Proficiency in C#, WebAPIs, MVC, and ASP.NET.
• Deep expertise in RESTful API design and MS SQL Server (T-SQL).
• Proven track record of using agentic coding IDEs to set team review standards.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS or other cloud-native tooling (containers, observability).
• Prior exposure to multi-tenant SaaS or high-traffic APIs in the fitness/wellness domain.
• General familiarity with modern TypeScript stacks.
