Sr. Machine Learning Engineer (Deepfake & Face Liveness)

TL;DR

Sr. Machine Learning Engineer (Computer Vision): Designing and deploying models for deepfake and injection attack detection in biometric verification with an accent on adversarial ML and data pipeline robustness. Location: Remote within Spain (Barcelona). Occasional in-person collaboration is a plus.

What you will do

• Design, train, and deploy ML models for deepfake detection, injection attack detection, and digital manipulation analysis.
• Manage the end-to-end ML lifecycle, including large-scale dataset curation, model development, and production monitoring.
• Build robust data pipelines for validation, cleaning, and labeling, addressing class imbalance and distribution shift.
• Execute evaluation frameworks focused on real-world performance and precision/recall trade-offs in adversarial environments.
• Collaborate with AI research, MLOps, and product teams to ensure the scalability and reliability of production systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience deploying machine learning models into production.
• Strong background in computer vision (image-based ML) and proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
• Experience building data pipelines and working with real-world datasets.
• Must be based in Spain.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree (PhD) in Machine Learning or Computer Vision.
• Experience in fraud detection, adversarial ML, or image forensics.
• Familiarity with generative AI models (training or analysis).
• Background in data science or data engineering.
