What you will do

• Lead data science efforts and collaborate with clients to understand mission objectives and data structures.
• Develop advanced algorithms using reinforcement learning, machine learning, and other modern data science technologies.
• Analyze and profile complex, varied datasets to provide high-level technical expertise for programs.
• Manage technology projects and lead the design of technical solutions for complex IT problems.
• Evaluate and execute new technologies to optimize existing infrastructure performance and efficiency.
• Develop IT strategies to ensure systems meet current and future regulatory and functional requirements.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen to obtain a VA security clearance.
• 5+ years of experience developing in Python, R, Julia, or SAS.
• Experience working with SQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
• Experience in cloud-native environments for data preparation, analysis, and model deployment.
• 2+ years of theoretical and practical background in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
• 2+ years of experience developing Reinforcement Learning systems (e.g., Q-Learning, MCTS, Finite Markov Decision Processes).

Nice to have

• Experience implementing event/data streaming services such as Kafka.
• Familiarity with KubeFlow and MLOps practices.
• Experience prototyping front-end visualizations using Kibana or Splunk.
• Ability to work efficiently with geographically distributed teams using virtual collaboration tools.
