What you will do

• Act as the Lead Responsible Engineer (LRE) and Engineering Authority for electric transmission and substation projects.
• Serve as the primary technical interface between the consulting engineering company and client internal engineering teams.
• Coordinate project scope, conceptual and detailed design, and resolve constructability issues.
• Review electrical and physical design packages to ensure compliance with project requirements and IEEE/ANSI standards.
• Support project managers in developing schedules, RFP documents, and evaluating external engineering bids.
• Oversee field change requests, material requests, and ensure SCADA database and equipment modeling data are delivered accurately.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college.
• 10+ years of experience in utility substation and transmission engineering, design, and equipment.
• Deep knowledge of IEEE/ANSI standards (preferably 15kV through 500kV).
• Valid Driver's license and reliable vehicle for site visits.
• Strong analytical skills for complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and meet company driving record requirements.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer License (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Graduate degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management.
