What you will do
- Lead the migration of legacy COBOL applications to Java-based microservices.
- Develop and deploy full stack solutions within the Azure Cloud environment.
- Design secure, scalable RESTful APIs for cloud integration.
- Translate complex business requirements into maintainable software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance and security compliance.
- Document system architecture and migration processes for long-term maintainability.
Requirements
- Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance
- Must be based in the United States
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in full stack development using Java and related frameworks
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and complex SQL query development
- Hands-on experience with Azure services and relational databases like Oracle or SQL Server
Nice to have
- Experience with Defense Business Systems and DoD STIGs/RMF compliance
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, Azure DevOps, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with the Strangler pattern and legacy mainframe systems
- Azure certifications (e.g., Developer Associate, Solutions Architect)
