What you will do
- Lead the technical direction of the autonomy platform software stack, including HAL, perception, path planning, and navigation.
- Define and maintain end-to-end software architecture covering sensor abstraction, scene understanding, and simulation infrastructure.
- Enforce the platform–application boundary to ensure component reusability and isolation of project-specific logic.
- Manage core architectural artifacts, including Software Architecture documents and Architecture Decision Records (ADR).
- Drive platform evolution in scene representation (USD), sim-to-real validation, and MLOps pipelines.
- Collaborate with safety engineering to align the platform with ISO 3691-4, SIL 2, and CE standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years in autonomous systems, robotics, ADAS, industrial automation, or aerospace.
- Proven experience in multi-product platform environments, balancing platform investment with project delivery.
- Hands-on expertise in at least three of the following: robotics architecture, real-time/safety-critical systems, sensor fusion, MLOps, simulation (Isaac Sim, CARLA), or embedded systems (RTOS).
- Strong technical documentation skills (architecture specs, ADRs, interfaces).
Nice to have
- Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or DRIVE platforms.
- Experience with data-intensive systems and pipelines.
- Experience scaling systems from prototype to production.
- Experience delivering safety-certified systems (ISO 26262, ISO 3691-4, DO-178C).
