What you will do

• Take end-to-end ownership of the Android experience, from technical architecture to product quality and roadmap execution.
• Lead, organize, and scale a team of engineers and contractors as mobile becomes central to the business.
• Define and own architectural decisions for the Android platform to ensure scalability and discipline.
• Translate company business goals into a concrete technical strategy and prioritization.
• Partner with product, design, and backend teams to align priorities and coordinate launches.
• Establish high engineering standards, including code review practices and release processes.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading Android development at a product-driven company with a shipped, high-quality app.
• Proven track record of managing engineers and contractors and developing high-performing teams.
• Deep Android platform expertise and strong grasp of Android-specific design patterns.
• Strong business and product judgment to make technical tradeoffs that align with company goals.
• Experience operating in small, early-stage environments where context shifts quickly.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in New York.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, crypto, trading, or other fast-paced, data-rich consumer applications.
• Familiarity with blockchain or Web3 products.
