Senior PHP Developer (iGaming)

Location: Remote across Czechia, Poland, Serbia, Spain, Georgia, and Armenia; hybrid and onsite opportunities in Prague, Czech Republic

hirify.global is working on a large-scale SaaS and iGaming platform with a modular enterprise monolith that processes high volumes of traffic and data.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize critical modules of a high-performance PHP platform.
• Take technical ownership of business domains and contribute to architectural decisions for the enterprise monolith.
• Design data models, storage strategies, and integrations with databases and external systems.
• Optimize MySQL queries, ORM performance, and large-scale data processing, including analytical solutions with ClickHouse.
• Build asynchronous processing and service integrations using Apache Kafka.
• Improve observability, troubleshoot production incidents, conduct code reviews, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial PHP development experience and strong knowledge of PHP 8.x.
• Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, clean architecture, and large-scale backend systems.
• Professional experience with Symfony and/or Laravel, MySQL optimization, Redis, and Apache Kafka.
• Understanding of observability, logging, profiling, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD environments.
• Strong ownership, analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with ClickHouse at scale, analytics, or data lake solutions.
• Experience refactoring large monolithic applications into modular domains.
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing.
