What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize key modules of a high-performance PHP platform to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Take technical ownership of critical business domains and drive architectural decisions for a large enterprise monolith.
• Optimize MySQL queries and ORM performance under heavy production workloads and work with ClickHouse for analytical solutions.
• Design and maintain asynchronous processing solutions and reliable integrations using Apache Kafka.
• Implement application telemetry using OpenTelemetry and troubleshoot production bottlenecks.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers to promote high development standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial PHP development experience.
• Strong expertise in PHP 8.x, OOP, SOLID principles, and clean architecture.
• Professional experience with Symfony and/or Laravel.
• Advanced MySQL knowledge, including query optimization, indexing, replication, and locking mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience with Redis and Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with ClickHouse at scale or building data lake solutions.
• Experience refactoring large monolithic applications into modular domains.
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing.
