What you will do

  • Lead production scheduling and ensure seamless alignment between materials planning, manufacturing, and customer delivery.
  • Leverage SAP and AI-driven predictive analytics to improve demand accuracy and mitigate supply risks.
  • Drive Lean initiatives to reduce WIP, excess inventory, and obsolescence while optimizing material flow.
  • Manage supplier performance, RMAs, and escalation resolution to ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing materials team within a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Contribute to plant business planning, including capacity modeling and capital investment strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering required.
  • 5+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or production control.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, preferably in a union environment.
  • Strong proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
  • Proven success applying Lean principles to improve operational flow.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • APICS/CPIM certification.
  • Experience implementing Industry 4.0 or smart factory initiatives.
  • Background in automotive or high-volume manufacturing.
