What you will do

• Develop branded content for local advertising partners in the trademark Smart Brevity style.
• Collaborate with editors and revenue partners to build thought leadership and brand marketing campaigns.
• Research local issues, industries, and communities to create authentic, relevant sponsored content.
• Write for various platforms including newsletters, websites, event materials, and social media.
• Actively develop AI literacy and integrate AI tools into daily workflows to enhance creativity and efficiency.
• Conduct live interviews to assist in the production of client-driven materials.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Proven writing experience in branded, local editorial, or community-focused content.
• Strong editorial judgment and ability to translate brand messaging into authentic local stories.
• Ability to hit daily deadlines and work effectively across multiple markets and industries.
• Passion for service journalism and storytelling on behalf of brands.
• Strong understanding of how to align messaging with client goals while resonating with local audiences.

• Experience with design or infographics.
