What you will do
- Lead and develop a payroll team responsible for bi-weekly processing for 2,000+ employees across the U.S. and Canada.
- Ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing, including taxes, deductions, and off-cycle payments.
- Oversee third-party payroll providers like ADP to maintain data integrity and service quality.
- Review and approve payroll reconciliations, general ledger postings, and variance analysis.
- Optimize payroll systems including Workday and ADP through configuration and integration improvements.
- Drive automation and standardization initiatives to enhance payroll efficiency and internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-state U.S. and Canadian payroll.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing payroll teams.
- Strong proficiency with Workday Payroll and ADP solutions.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll regulations and tax compliance.
- Ability to work flexible hours during payroll cycles and critical periods.
Nice to have
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
- Experience supporting payroll transformations or system implementations.
- Exposure to global payroll environments or shared services models.
