Site Engineer (Offshore)

TL;DR

Site Engineer (Offshore): Supporting the construction and outfitting of offshore substations for a major renewable energy project with an accent on electromechanical engineering queries and site safety. Focus on coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing quality processes, and acting as the primary technical point of contact on-site.

Location: Must be based in Brussels with frequent travel to Vlissingen and Schiedam (Netherlands). Hybrid work policy allows for remote work up to 2 days per week.

What you will do

• Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained on-site in collaboration with the Construction Manager.
• Act as the single point of contact for electromechanical engineering queries.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including inspectors and engineers.
• Support the Construction Manager in managing the site team and interactions with the EPC Contractor.
• Lead quality topics on the yard, including follow-up of non-conformities and quality processes.
• Coordinate vendors’ site activities in collaboration with project leaders and construction management.

Requirements

• Academic background in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Possession of VCA VOL/SCC for supervisor’s certificate.
• Fluent English proficiency.
• Experience with multiple disciplines onsite.
• Compliance with PPE and training matrix requirements.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a safety and quality mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience in the offshore sector.
• Experience with topside outfitting.
• Experience with quality control/assurance on a construction site.
• Knowledge of Aconex.
• Dutch language proficiency.
