What you will do

• Provide security advice and promote best practices to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage personnel security requirements for multiple Defence sector contracts.
• Support the delivery and maintenance of ISO27001 certification.
• Assist with security audits, obligations management, and evidence collection.
• Conduct security investigations and remediation while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Requirements

• Must hold or be capable of achieving and maintaining SC security clearance.
• Strong interest in security management and governance.
• Willingness to upskill and become a subject matter expert within the Defence security team.
• Ability to work collaboratively and provide security support across different teams.
• Understanding of the evolving security and threat landscape.

Nice to have

• Experience with ISO27001 standards.
• Background in security-led environments.
• Experience working in major public sectors such as the MoD or HM Government.
• Knowledge of MoD policies including JSP440, JSP490, JSP453, and DEFCON standards.
