Salary: EUR 104,000 - 124,800

What you will do
- Build and maintain the k6 performance testing tool written in Go.
- Develop features and improvements from initial idea through implementation and delivery.
- Maintain the open-source project and collaborate directly with the community.
- Work on Go services supporting distributed test execution for the k6 cloud offering.
- Perform code reviews and design implementation with a focus on long-term maintainability.
Requirements
- Strong experience building production software in Go or other languages with concurrency and parallelism support.
- Experience working on larger, long-lived codebases.
- Ability to work independently on scoped problems and deliver them to completion.
- Deep understanding of internet protocols such as HTTP, gRPC, and WebSockets.
- Must be based in the Republic of Ireland
Nice to have
- Contributing to or maintaining open-source projects.
- Prior experience using k6 in production or contributing to its ecosystem.
- Experience with distributed systems, Docker, AWS, or observability tools like Grafana.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
