Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP)

Location: Must be based in Sofia, Bulgaria (authorized to work in Bulgaria).

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure automation across GCP using Terraform and GitOps.
• Manage and harden GKE clusters, including configuration, access control, and fleet management.
• Operate and extend GitOps delivery pipelines using FluxCD.
• Manage secret lifecycles with HashiCorp Vault and GCP Secret Manager.
• Maintain service mesh (Istio) for traffic management, mTLS, and progressive delivery.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive incident response.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or SRE roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP (GKE, IAM, VPC networking).
• Proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, and GitOps principles (FluxCD).
• Experience with Istio, HashiCorp Vault, and OPA Gatekeeper.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python.
• Must be authorized to work in Bulgaria.

Nice to have

• Experience with ScaleOps, Cilium, Flagger, or KEDA.
• Familiarity with SOPS and KMS for secret encryption.
