Software Engineer (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Fullstack): Developing and scaling a web platform for energy companies to modernize field work using LiDAR and AI data with an accent on end-to-end feature development and architectural decisions. Focus on building new workflows for work planning and disaster response, implementing CI/CD processes, and delivering high-quality UI/UX.

Location: Hybrid: 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) in person in the New York City office

Salary: $150,000–$220,000

What you will do

• Develop new features and end-to-end workflows for the web platform in close partnership with early adopters.
• Build workflows from scratch for work planning, construction, and disaster response for major US utilities.
• Scale the engineering organization by establishing best practices, including CI/CD processes and tooling.
• Collaborate across disciplines including hardware engineering and machine learning.
• Shape the engineering culture and contribute to early decisions regarding architecture and tooling.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or a similar field.
• 4+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, and React.
• Experience building commercial web applications in early-stage, fast-moving environments.
• Must be based in or able to work from the New York City office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
• Proven ability to own feature development independently and deliver high-quality UI/UX.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, User Auth, and WebGL.
• Experience working with geospatial and imagery data.
