Fullstack Software Engineer (AI)

Location: New York Office; the stated salary range applies to New York City-based applicants

Salary: $150,000–$220,000 per year, excluding bonuses, benefits, and potential long-term incentives

Treeswift builds physical AI for utility field workers using hardware, sensors, LiDAR, cameras, AI, and software to improve productivity and reduce operational risks.

What you will do

• Develop new features and end-to-end workflows for the web platform in partnership with utility customers.
• Build workflows supporting work planning, construction, and disaster response.
• Improve the existing platform foundation and deliver greenfield functionality.
• Establish CI/CD processes, tooling, and engineering practices as the organization scales.
• Collaborate across hardware engineering, machine learning, software engineering, and field data collection.
• Contribute to a customer-focused engineering culture as an early fullstack engineer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• Commercial experience building web applications in early-stage and larger-scale environments with reliability and security requirements.
• Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, and React.
• Ability to independently own end-to-end feature development and deliver high-quality UI/UX.
• Comfort making early tooling and architecture decisions and establishing CI/CD processes from scratch.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, user authentication, and WebGL.
• Experience with geospatial data and imagery data.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and upskill other contributors.
