Senior Network Engineer

Senior Network Engineer (Networking/DoD): Supporting the medical mission of the DoD by managing complex LAN/WLAN/WAN infrastructure with an accent on network security, routing protocols, and high-level configuration. Focus on resolving critical network issues, establishing standards for DHA facilities, and ensuring optimal performance across the CONUS region.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for network issues, configuration management, and multi-protocol routing.
• Design, implement, and manage LAN/WLAN/WAN infrastructure to support DHA networked facilities.
• Resolve complex technical issues across the OSI model using diagnostic tools like SolarWinds and Ansible.
• Configure and maintain network security barriers, including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS.
• Develop and document network policies, standards, and best practices for DoD compliance.
• Consult with government staff and lead technical teams to ensure optimal network performance.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.
• CCNP and CISSP certifications are required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent technical training with 10+ years of experience.
• Mastery of networking protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and DNS/DHCP.
• Direct experience with DoD/DHA communication mediums and EIA/TIA cable standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with government officials and technical personnel.
