What you will do

• Develop innovative features and standards for the Auth0 platform to enable secure global innovation.
• Take ownership of technical quality, security, reliability, and scalability of mission-critical identity services.
• Drive architectural improvements and advocate for engineering best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Security, Design, Architecture, and QA teams.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain service health and reliability.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in building backend services with Node.js (JavaScript or TypeScript).
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems in cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
• Strong commitment to quality with experience in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Product-oriented mindset to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
• Location: Must be based in Toronto, Canada for hybrid work

Nice to have

• Experience in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain.
• Knowledge of security engineering principles and application security best practices.
• Experience working effectively in distributed, remote-first teams.
