What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software systems within the CyberLife environment.
• Architect scalable and maintainable solutions that meet rigorous performance, reliability, and security standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical specifications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure system stability.
• Drive innovation by proposing new technologies and process improvements.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Extensive experience with IBM mainframe development including CICS, VSAM, and JCL.
• Proficiency in COBOL, PL/I, or Assembler.
• Deep expertise in Life & Annuity Policy Administration, specifically the CyberLife application.

Nice to have

• Understanding of VPMS, SCLM, and Repetitive Payment System (RPS).
• Experience with AI tools to accelerate development workflows.
• Knowledge of distributed technologies like AWS, Java, Python, and SQL.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
