What you will do

• Collaborate with sound designers to define and implement interactive audio systems for game features.
• Develop efficient tools and pipelines to enable the sound design team to author a dynamic soundscape.
• Create clear APIs that allow other engineering teams to integrate and interact with audio systems.
• Monitor and manage low-level audio behavior to ensure it stays within CPU, RAM, and streaming budgets.
• Take ownership of the game's sonic layer from early development through to release.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working on game engine code, specifically with audio systems and middleware.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and performance-sensitive design.
• Experience contributing to the shipment of a AAA commercial game title.
• Ability to balance design simplicity with optimization requirements.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with non-technical team members.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of audio middleware such as Wwise, FMOD, or similar tools.
• Experience working with the engine codebase of more than one game engine.
