Global Head of Large Load and Grid Transformation Research

Location: New York, United States

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 annual base pay, excluding short-term incentive compensation and commission.

What you will do

• Define and lead the global research agenda for large-load sectors, including data centers, EV charging, behind-the-meter generation, and microgrids.
• Analyze grid interconnection, load flexibility, virtual power plant participation, financial factors, technology, supply chains, and commercial dynamics.
• Lead cost, revenue, and long-term load forecasting models while standardizing methodologies across regional research teams.
• Develop thought leadership, datasets, and written research that deliver clear, actionable insights for customers and industry participants.
• Drive AI adoption across research teams to improve research accuracy, efficiency, and quality.
• Own commercial strategy for large-load intelligence products and collaborate with sales, marketing, product, consulting, and leadership teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the power industry, including at least 3 years focused on data centers.
• Deep expertise in data center trends, challenges, opportunities, resource needs, market factors, and technology development.
• Experience in research or consulting, with practical exposure to a data center company, utility, or organization involved in large-load development and interconnection.
• Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving, written communication, and public-speaking skills.
• Experience executing commercial strategies across sales, marketing, product, or related functions.
• Ability to work effectively across a highly matrixed organization and mentor team members.
