Instrument and Controls Technician

Location: Onsite in Philadelphia, PA

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and program PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS control systems.
• Install and troubleshoot field wiring and electrical instruments.
• Calibrate and replace electrical sensors including photoelectric, inductive, capacitive, pressure, temperature, and position sensors.
• Modify and test control system applications based on design documents, P&ID, and schematics.
• Assist with mechanical repairs and resolve equipment downtime issues within the plant.

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalent, or technical training.
• Minimum 3 years of controls system maintenance in an industrial setting.
• Ability to work onsite in Philadelphia, PA.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screening.
• Physical capability to climb elevations up to 250 feet and work in confined spaces.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ovation, Wonderware, and Allen Bradley.
• Experience with CEMS.
